Remarks From Our Flotilla Commander

Welcome to the Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 38 Web Site. Our flotilla meets in Plantation, Florida, but has members who live in many of the surrounding communities in Broward County. While we teach many of our boating safety classes in Plantation, our on-the-water activity is centered on Coast Guard Station Fort Lauderdale in Dania Beach.

The focus of our flotilla is on the four cornerstones of the Auxiliary: Public and Member Education, Recreational Boating Safety, Coast Guard Support, and Fellowship. The Coast Guard continues to receive more and more taskings, and looks to the Auxiliary to assist wherever we are authorized by law. As a volunteer organization, we rely on the civilian skills of our members and provide them specialized training to ensure that we provide the best service we can to the Coast Guard and the boating public.

If you are interested in finding out more about the Coast Guard Auxiliary or our flotilla, please join us at one of our monthly meetings, held the second Tuesday of each month. We meet at the Plantation Community Center, 5555 Palm Tree Rd., Plantation FL 33317 beginning at 7:30 PM. Please click on the address for detailed written directions from just about anywhere and a map.

You may also contact us by email or leave a voice message at 954-327-9199. Someone will get back to you. We look forward to you visiting our flotilla in person and joing us. Meanwhile explore our activities on this web site, and learn more about our exciting missions.
